The Balance Harness was designed to give you more leverage over your dog while you work to train your dog not to pull, while still providing them with free range of motion in the forelimb.
By nature, all front-clip attachment harnesses will turn towards the direction that leash pressure is coming from. This is the harness doing its job, what we have to do is stop walking forward for a moment and allow the dog to turn back towards us before we continue to walk forward.
The Balance Harness will give you more control over your dog when compared to walking them on a flat collar. We recommend using a double-ended leash like our Multi-Function Leash for the most control and influence while training your dog to walk nicely on leash.
The Multi-Function Leash certainly helps with super-strong pullers. If the double attachment function isn't working the way you'd like, you can certainly use it as a regular 6-foot leash or hold on to it until your pup is a loose leash walking pro, at which time you can even use it as an over the shoulder leash on your public outings.
Check out our Loose Leash Walking playlist that will give you 5 short and easy-to-follow videos to train your dog using the Balance Harness.
