Due to the nature of the composite material that the KLIMB is made out of, changes in temperature and humidity can cause the KLIMB tabletop to expand and contract.
We specifically formulated this composite material to be durable while still allowing a bit of give for the comfort and safety of the dogs jumping on and off of it. Our composite has a rubberized component that gives dogs grip when jumping on and off of the KLIMB, as well as cushion to absorb the concussive impact of repetitive jumps. Also added is a UV stabilizer to prevent the KLIMB from deteriorating when left in the sun.
If you wish to preserve the ability to disassemble and transport the KLIMB, we recommend the following:
- When installing the KLIMB legs, give them an extra twist with BOTH hands. You cannot strip the screw component or overtighten it.
- Avoid dragging or tossing the KLIMB when moving it from one location to another.
- In some cases, a small strip of electrical tape placed along the "threads" of the legs can provide extra grip.
While the above tips have worked very well for many customers, we occasionally get asked about permanently installing the KLIMB legs. If you'd like to permanently fix your KLIMB legs into the leg holes, we'd recommend trying Gorilla Glue. This is not something we've used here at Blue-9, so results may vary.
